Against Me!

Gainesville-based rock band Against Me! was founded by frontman Tom Gabel when he was 17 and started out as a one-man acoustic project before turning into a full-fledged band. Against Me! recently singed with Sire Records and recorded their first major label album New Wave, featuring the single "Thrash Unreal." (That sounds like a great pro-wrestler's name.)  New Wave is their first album without any acoustic tracks. Against Me! has found the perfect formula of being able to engage in real discourse with people and have lyrics that have real context but at the same time be an exciting, loud, energetic band. With Ted Leo & The Pharmacists and Future of the Left.
