SilverCreek is one of the very few developments of vacation homes that you can drive past without realizing it is there, is hidden away from the noise and smell of the heavy traffic of highway 27. To find it, you have to turn into the entrance to Woodridge and drive down gently winding Woodcrest Way, which runs through a mature residential estate, on through Clear Creek and out into the pastel shaded homes of Silver Creek.
Here, this small community is out on a limb, surrounded by natural woodland with ponds and small lakes beyond the manicured lawns and sparkling pools and spas of these beautifully appointed homes. This quiet location means that there is wonderful bird-life to be seen, especially in the spring, there are also turtles in the ponds and even a local alligator.
Back on the 27, near the Woodridge junction, there is a rapidly growing list of shops and places to eat, such as a Wal-mart, Winn Dixie supermarket, a bank, fuel station, a pizza take away, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and Long John Silver.
